Karen Miranda Gleason, communication cordinator of the Fire Management Branch of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, will give an update of the 2012 fire season in Idaho. Karen’s crew was responsible for finding and saving Boo Boo the bear at the Mustang Fire. She will offer firsthand knowledge on the care and recovery of the black bear. The public is invited to the annual Friends of Deer Flat potluck dinner and general meeting at 6 p.m., prior to the lecture. Take a side dish or dessert to share.
