The City of Boise opened its absentee voting precinct earlier this week, allowing anyone who will not be able to vote on Nov. 6 to cast ballots in advance of the general election. Three City Council seats and the mayor's office are up for election this year. The precinct, 650 Main St., is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday through Nov. 5. Absentee ballots can also be mailed in, and same-day registration is accepted at polling locations.
Anyone voting in the city election must be a resident for at least 30 days and have a photo ID card and proof of a current Boise address.
