When: Aug. 26-30 2009
The Boise Bicycle Project, along with the International Rescue Committee, are conducting classes on bike safety for both adult refugees and children. The adult class is at Ann Morrison Park on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at noon. Another class for refugee children will be held on Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. The adult class will teach 75 new adult refugees about bicycle maintenance and safe bicycle commuting. Interpreters will be on site to help with any communication issues. BBP is asking for as many volunteers of any experience level as possible. After completion of the safety program, refugees will receive a free pump, lock, tool kit, and correctly fitted helmet.
