Music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. After a 20 year drought, all restroom activities are done in public toilets controlled by a megacorporation called "Urine Good Company." The main objective is to control water consumption, so people have to pay to use the amenities. If the rules are broken, the guilty are sent to a supposed penal colony called "Urinetown," where offenders are sent but never return.
