UPDATE: Two-Truck Wreck in Boise Kills Two

Two people were killed during a horrific Boise auto crash, tangling traffic Near West Gowen and Pleasant Valley roads Monday.

Those killed are identified as James Frontino, Jr, 62 and his wife Rosanne, 59, both of Boise.

Witnesses said it appeared that a semi-truck, carrying sand and gravel, was travelling northbound on Pleasant Valley Road and turning right onto Gowen Road when the truck rolled, landing partially onto a passing small pickup truck traveling eastbound on Gowen. Boise Police confirmed that a man and woman, both inside the pickup, were dead on the scene. The driver of the semi-truck was uninjured.

The resulting investigation kept portions of Gowen and Pleasant Valley roads closed for several hours Monday.

Police said late Monday that no charges had been filed and that there were no signs of impairment involving either driver, but the results of of a full investigation would be reviewed by prosecutors to see what, if any, criminal charges may result.
