The Treasure Valley Cycling Alliance seeks volunteers for its annual bicycle counts.

The counts, slated for Tuesday-Thursday, Sept. 15-17, will take place at traffic intersections across the Treasure Valley to determine how many bicycles are on Boise roads during day traffic—from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bike counts provide data used by local agencies like the city of Boise and the Ada County Highway District to improve bicycle infrastructure like bike lanes and pathways, and make Boise's roads safer for bike users.

Volunteers must undergo training, either online or at one of two 30-minute sessions held in Boise and Meridian at locations and dates to be announced.
