- Family of Woman Film Festival
“I’m exploring options for presenting the festival in both Boise and Sun Valley in a different format, at a more weather-reliable time of year,” said Goldwyn, adding that 2019 was “the last edition of the Family of Woman Film Festival in its current format.”
The festival attracted world-class feature films for 12 straight years, but Goldwyn said heavy snowfall for the past three years kept many attendees and filmmakers from getting to Sun Valley.
“I have assumed other obligations, as have key members of our staff,” said Goldwyn. “That makes it difficult to present a weeklong series of events in a manner that will provide maximum financial support to the work of the United Nations Population Fund.”
Goldwyn added that she was talking with Boise State University about continuing its partnership to showcase films on its Boise campus—but again, not during winter months.
