Tomes Currently Resting On BW Staffers' Nightstands

Sara:

Cell by Stephen King and Freddy and Fredericka by Mark Helprin. Two recent releases by two of my favorite authors.

Amy:

Lost In A Good Book by Jasper Fforde.

Nick:

The Meaning of Everything: The Story of the Oxford English Dictionary (Simon Winchester) and William Clark and the Shaping of the West by Landon Y. Jones . I know, I know ... total nonfiction dork books.

Rachael:

I'm reading two right now: The Heap by Nicole McDonald Albarelli and Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.

Jessi:

I finished Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides recently and have not yet started a new one. I loved the book and I am recommending it to everyone!

Nate:

1000 Years for Revenge : International Terrorism and the FBI--the Untold Story by Peter Lance. Just finished it. Looks like we are in store for some rough years ahead.

Nancy:

Joan Slonczewski's A Door Into Ocean. Science Fiction--the author created complete worlds whose social systems are at counter-point to one another. The land based world of man is fear, power, taking language whereas the water world of Shora with a female-based is a language of learning, cooperation, and sharing.

Blake:

The Book of Lost Tales by J.R.R. Tolkien, Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and Preacher by Garth Ennis There you have it.

Tyler:

The 72 Names of God: Technology for the Soul by Yehudah Berg. It's a book on Kabbalah.
