Police said two teenage boys may have saved the life of a Magic Valley woman when a man held a knife to her throat. Making matters worse, the woman was holding a baby while she was being attacked.

This morning's Twin Falls Times-News reports that police were summoned to a mobile home park in the Twin Falls County community of Buhl. That's where witnesses said a man wielding a bread knife dragged a woman by the hair from her home. When they spotted the woman holding a baby in her arms, the two boys, ages 15 and 18, intervened, causing the suspect to flee on foot. A short time later, police caught the suspect as he was again attempting to enter the woman's residence.

John Rupp, 32, was arraigned June 3 and ordered held on a $50,000 bond for charges of aggravated assault, battery and injury to a child.
