Three eastern Idaho children are in critical condition after being buried in snow and ice that slid off a cabin roof.
The Idaho State Journal reports the children were playing near a cabin at the Mack's Inn Resort in the Fremont County town of Island Park when the snow and ice slide off the cabin's roof. The children were nowhere to be seen, triggering a frantic search. Dozens of emergency responders rushed to the scene, but more than 30 minutes passed before the children were found.
KIFI-TV reports one of the children suffered a broken leg and another child was revived at the scene. All three were airlifted from the scene to area hospitals where they remain in critical condition. The Fremont County Sheriff's Office has not released the identity of the children, but it's believed all three children were younger than 8-years-old.
