It's still more than a week away, but let the drooling begin.
Members of Boise’s Greek community are already under way with their culinary preparations for the June 6-7 Greek Food Festival, the 33rd annual event at Saints Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church.
They gathered, along with volunteers from Life's Kitchen, to begin prepping for the food festival. The traditional dishes include souvlaki, gyros, dolmades, pastries, and other traditional greek meals, nearly all handmade.
This year's festival will also include Greek and domestic wines and drafts from Payette Brewing and Hayden Beverage Co.
The festival committee is expecting to see up to 7,000 people throughout the two days, weather permitting.
