The New Boise Weekly Digs • The Misfits are coming! • Big Players Coming to the Big Easy

By the time you read this, I will be sitting in my new chair behind my new desk located in the new Boise Weekly digs at 523 Broad St. Sweet. If you need to bring me something (CDs, reviews, chocolate chip cookies), that's where you'll find me Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. If I owe you money, I've left the country and won't be back for months. My phone number and e-mail should be the same: 344-2055 ext. 3006,

To those of you who responded to my ravings in the July 27 issue, thank you. Some of you had to call me with complaints and I appreciate those as much as I do the compliments. I am going to mess things up occasionally and if no one lets me know mistakes are happening, I'll just keep making them. For those of you who got on the ball, thank you to you, too. I know we can make this work.

OMG! The Misfits are coming! The Misfits are coming! The show is October 6 and features two original members, Jerry Only and Robo and guitarist Dez Cardena from Black Flag. Tickets are $18 and go on sale this Friday, July 29 at 10 a.m. Check out for more information.

There are some big players coming to the Big Easy over the next couple of months that you might want to go see (If you do go to any of these shows, write a 250-300 word review and send it to me. Thanks!) The Violent Femmes (big girly sigh) will be there on August 11. Tickets are $25. Ted Nugent (fearful shaking) plays the next night, August 12. Doors open at 7 p.m., show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $27.50. (Just kidding about the shaking, Ted. Please don't hurt me.) Static X plays with openers American Head Charge and Bloodsimple on the next night, August 13. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show time is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $20 Breaking Benjamin plays on August 14. Doors at 6:30 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m., tickets $21. Clinton Fearon brings his roots rock on August 16. Tickets are $10. Flogging Molly hits the Big Easy stage on September 2. Doors 7 p.m., show 8 p.m., tickets $18 through Ticketweb, $20 at the door. Now here's a strange one: Apparently both Danzig and Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers will be playing on October 7. For Danzig, doors open at 5 p.m., show starts at 6 p.m. and tickets are $29.50. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. (won't they already be open?) for Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, the show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.
