Time Is Running Out: Submit Your Fiction 101 Entries Today!

  • Boise Weekly
We have good news and bad news. Let's start with the bad: Time is running out for people to submit their Fiction 101 contest entries—please turn them on or before Monday, Nov. 18.

Now for the good news. We have a new online submission form that will allow folks to send us their stories and pay the $10/entry fee in the same place. Check it out here.

All entries must be submitted electronically, either through the online submission portal or via email to Boise Weekly Publisher Michelle Robinson at If you're uncomfortable paying the entry fee via the internet, checks or cash may be sent or submitted in person at Boise Weekly headquarters—523 Broad St., Boise, ID 83702. Just remember to indicate the title of your story in a note so we can pair it with your entry.

The rest of the rules remain the same. Stories must be exactly 101 words in length (verifiable via Microsoft Word). After the Nov. 18 deadline, the stories will be judged by our illustrious panel, and the winners will be published in the Wednesday, Jan. 1, issue of Boise Weekly. The following day, on First Thursday, don't forget to join us at the reading party at Rediscovered Books!
