This morning's Idaho Mountain Express reports that the remodeling is "in the final, frantic weeks of construction" on the project, which has kept the main lodge of the resort closed since September 2014.
The Mountain Express took a tour of the site, which now includes a 20,000-square-foot, three-floor addition. The Sun Valley Lodge dining room shut down in spring 2014 to make room for a new spa at the remodeled lodge.
The remodel will cut the number of rooms in the lodge from 184 to 94, though they will be larger. The Mountain Express reports that there have been as many as 300 laborers, craftsmen and contractors on the job.
