Sometin' for Nuthin'

by

This year's license amnesty fishing day, courtesy of Idaho Fish and Game, is June 10. Every other day of the year, anglers over the age of 14 must purchase a fishing license, but on free fishing day, amateur and seasoned anglers can cast a line without possessing that pesky little permission slip.

Events are planned throughout the state, and all locations usually have rods on hand, as well as basic how-to-fish instruction. In Boise, Parkcenter Pond features free fishing and educational activities take place at the MK Nature Center from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information on events throughout the state or how to participate, visit http://fishandgame.idaho.gov.
