When: Thu., Oct. 26, 10:30 a.m. 2017

Tony Stewart and Norm Gissel of the Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations mobilized grassroots activism against the Aryan Nations and social injustice for 35 years. Tapping into their experiences, they will share how individuals, organizations and communities can create events that not only celebrate diversity, but also implement strategies to advance social justice at the local level. Stewart will provide specific stories of how students in particular have initiated positive changes on and off campuses. Students/teachers encouraged to attend. Sponsored by the Marilyn Shuler Human Rights Initiative at Boise State University as part of Human Rights Week.
