Snooze at the Zoo

Zoo Boise, Friday, July 6

by

One of the most famous songs from Disney's 1994 classic The Lion King includes this line: "Near the village, the peaceful village / The lion sleeps tonight." Thanks to Zoo Boise, the City of Trees actually is that village—complete with a newly arrived male African lion named Revan—and this weekend, you can sleep in the heart of its jungle during Snooze at the Zoo, a Zoo Boise program that invites guests to stay overnight in a "safari camp" surrounded by animal exhibits. The fun, which starts at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, July 6, will include an after-hours zoo tour, animal encounters and other staff-led programs, plus snacks and breakfast the next morning before the experience ends at 9 a.m. If you're 7 years old or older, this is your chance to run wild in your pajamas with full permission.
