It was a long slog for Rhodes Skatepark.
After years of planning, a $1.8 million "Christmas present" from the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Family Foundation and months of construction, Rhodes Skatepark celebrated its grand reopening party Aug. 6 with the help of popular skate brand Element.
The park has been open since April, but it got the royal treatment Saturday with speeches by Boise Mayor Dave Bieter and Element owner Johnny Schillereff, as well as skate demos by Element pro skaters. Check out our slideshow here:
