Seventh annual Boise River Sweep

When: Sat., Sept. 13, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. 2008

The time of year has arrived when hundreds of volunteers comb the 40-mile stretch of the Boise River from Barber Park to Canyon county to clean up trash, aluminum cans and other waste to help keep the community clean. The trash pickup volunteering is full, but there are open spots to help with a new Citizen Water Monitoring effort which is a global effort to track the health and sustainability of local water systems. Contact Cindy Busche at the Boise Watershed Environmental Education Center, 208-489-1284, or cbusche@cityofboise.org to sign up.
