Coeur d'Alene Republican Sen. Bob Nonini remains hospitalized, as he recovers from complications related to the flu.
Today's Coeur d'Alene Press reports that Nonini's family is asking for privacy "so the senator can get the rest he needs to heal."
"He's on the mend now, and still plans to be down in Boise this session," family friend Lorna Finman told the Press. Nonini was admitted to the Kootenai Health medical center earlier in the week, but Finman said he should "be out soon."
Nonini is a member of of the Senate Agricultural Affairs, Education and Transportation committees.
The 59-year-old Nonini served as chair of the Idaho Republican Party from 2002 through 2004, was elected to the Idaho House from 2004 through 2012 and was elected to the State Senate in 2012.
