A Boise man has been arrested for allegedly tailing a 12-year-old girl for several months, and he could be connected to a series of child enticements on the Boise Bench.
Shay Alexander, 25, is charged with first-degree stalking after contacting the girl over a dozen times in late 2004 and early 2005, and is a "person of interest" for several similar interactions with young girls in the Vista area. In all the cases, a man in a red SUV followed girls either walking or biking to school in the early morning and tried to make personal conversation with them. After seeing local news coverage of the incidents, the parents of the victim called police with a tip that led to Alexander's arrest. If convicted, he could be enticed into spending up to five years in prison.
