Rep. Bill Sali has opened a new campaign office in downtown Boise, just upstairs from his congressional offices in the Hoff building.
Until now, a P.O. box in Kuna was listed as the campaign address on his campaign Web site. During his last run for office, Sali kept an office near Meridian, said spokesman Wayne Hoffman.
While it's a sign the race against Democratic challenger Walt Minnick is heating up, we can't help but notice that Sali's office is squarely within House District 2. Sali represents District 1, which begins near Cole Road on the west side of the city.
Hoffman said the location was simply a matter of open office space in the Hoff building and added that the room was much needed.
"There's just so many volunteers that we needed a place for them to meet up and work to help the congressman with his election campaign," he said.
Minnick headquarters are on Emerald and Milwaukee streets, just over the district line.
