Firoozeh Dumas wrote a collection of colorful stories, inspired by her father, as a gift for her children. In 2003, the stories were published as Funny in Farsi. The book quickly ascended the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle bestseller lists and was a finalist for the PEN/USA award in 2004. Her second book, Laughing Without an Accent, was published in 2008. She will read from and discuss her works. Tickets are available at thecabinidaho.org or by calling 208-331-8000.
