Raucous rock and metal madness at Gusto on Sunday

by

After a long, hot, dry weekend, drop into Gusto for a couple of cold ones and some out-loud, in-your-face rock and metal.

SF-based Giant Squid, plays avant-garde, progressive metal with a classical kick, thundering drums and wicked guitar battling against the haunting timbre of a cello.

Their SF mates Grayceon also employ an electric cello to add a noir but melodic element to their unique, prog metal sound.

Manville will likely pound through 20 punk/rock/hardcore songs in three minutes while doom-and-gloom duo PussyGutt will barely finish one in the same amount of time.

Show starts at 8 p.m., cover is $5. Gusto, 509 W. Main St.
