Project Flux's Sentences Takes Its Show on the Road to CSI, Portland Film Festival

In May, Boise Weekly went to the Idaho State Correctional Center south of Boise to take a rare peek into a nonfiction writing class for inmates, whose works inspired local dance company Project Flux to choreograph a dance based on their writings. That production, Sentences, debuted at Ming Studios in June.

Now, Project Flux is taking Sentences on the road. On Wednesday, Oct. 24, the troupe will journey to the College of Southern Idaho to perform in the Idaho's Stage Door series. Tickets to the show are available here.

The dancers will then make a trip to Portland, Oregon, in November for the 45th-annual Northwest Filmmakers' Festival, which will screen a short film with selected scenes from the Ming performance in July. The festival runs Wednesday-Monday, Oct. 31-Nov. 5.
