Passersby on Sixth Street stopped to watch dancers Saturday evening, as local dance company Project Flux, in collaboration with Los Angeles-based WHYTEBERG, performed as occurred, as recalled.

The work, a contemporary dance interpretation of phenomena and memory, brought dancers and the audience out of a traditional setting and onto the sidewalks and into businesses, including Jordan-Wilcomb Construction, MING Studios and Peace Valley Dry Goods.

Divided into two sections by an intermission, as occurred, as recalled reflected on the frailty and fallibility of memory, juxtaposing events "as occurred" then remixing them in the second half of the performance with interpretations of events "as recalled."
