The investigation in alleged misconduct by Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue has concluded, but whether the lawman will face any charges has yet to be announced.

Complaints against Donahue, filed anonymously with the Idaho attorney general's office, accuse the sheriff of abusing his position to operate the nonprofit K. Donahue Foundation Inc., which runs the Man Up Crusade raising awareness of domestic violence.

Idaho State Police confirmed in October 2015 it would investigate the alleged wrongdoing after both the Canyon County prosecutor's office and the AG declined to investigate, citing conflicts of interest. The matter was turned over to the Twin Falls County prosecutor's office to determine whether any charges should be recommended.

Now, this morning's Idaho Press Tribune reports that, after six months, the ISP investigation has been completed. Twin Falls Prosecuting Attorney Grant Loebs told the Press-Tribune he had met with ISP investigators this week and estimated that any recommendation on possible charges would come sometime within the next week.
