Police profiling is alive and well in Caldwell. But in C-town, the term refers to an officer actually picking a suspect up, turning him/her/it into a profile position and posing for photographs.
The convict in this case was a four-foot long, 15-pound alligator that had escaped from the home of Justin Sandifer of Caldwell. According to a story in the Idaho Press-Tribune, a passerby found the reptile loose on Freeport Street and brought it into the police department last Wednesday. The alligator was handed over to Idaho Fish and Game, and Sandifer was reportedly given a warning and told to find a new owner for the gator. Its kind ain't allowed 'round Bushlandia.
