Two Boise men are behind bars, each charged with a felony after Boise Police said citizen alerts to officials led to the arrests.

Boise Police say they responded to a call of suspicious persons on the 5600 block of West Marine Lane in Thursday's early morning hours. That's when witnesses told police that a man, possibly stealing something, was spotted in a parked vehicle. A short time later, police said they found two men near the vehicle. While talking to the suspects, police said one of the men was in possession of a substance that tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine. A Boise K9 also alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside a vehicle. Police said they discovered four small baggies containing marijuana, a pill that was later identified as Hydrocodone, two pills identified as Oxycodon, 26 pills identified as Clonazepam, and another pill identified as Focalin. Police said they also seized a glass pipe, spoon and other drug paraphernalia. Additionally, police said they discovered methamphetamine on the person of one of the suspects.

46-year-old Ronald Gabriel of Boise was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, a felony count of illicit conveyance of certain articles into correctional facilities, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

35-year-old Gary Deaner of Boise was also charged with a felony count of a controlled substance violation.
