When: Sat., April 8, 1-3 p.m. 2017
The idea behind Moon Botany emerges from Petra Kuppers' disability: She does not walk easily, and lives with pain. When she writes in her Moon Botany series, she responds to material found on the land. This workshop will use similar techniques to create little poetic narrative structures and will explore voicing devices and ways of letting the found material speak to us and to others. This workshop is open to disabled and non-disabled people who enjoy contact with nature, and who want to explore how writing can open up our encounters with natural elements. Part of Boise's National Poetry Month celebration.
