Petite 4 to Debut European-style Brunch, Wild Root Cafe Teases Dinner Hours

Petite 4 is rolling out a new brunch program. For $30 a head, brunchers can feast on a French country breakfast that includes spring vegetables, baked eggs, chilled salmon and pastries. Seating starts at 9:30 a.m., and brunch will run from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

In an email, Co-owner Sarah Kelly wrote that a Sunday, May 20, family-style meal will be the test run for its European-style brunch.

"If this is a success we will offer this monthly and perhaps bimonthly," she wrote. "It will truly be a unique dining experience full of delicious food and carrying on."

Petite 4 opened in the Boise Bench neighborhood in April.

In other food news, downtown health- and diet-conscious breakfast and lunch hotspot Wild Root Cafe & Market may soon expand to serving dinner. In a series of Craigslist ads posted May 10, it announced it was looking for full- and part-time line cooks, and a part-time server for dinner service. There is no word yet on when Wild Root could begin serving in the evenings or what its new hours might be.
