Payette Brewing Presents Gelande Quaffing

When: Sat., Feb. 21, 2-5 p.m. 2015

Gelande Quaffing is a sport created by skiers in which a mug of beer is slid down the bar and leaps off the end to be caught and then immediately consumed. The name comes from gelande ski jumping, which infers to the act of the glass getting launched in mid-air to the "quaffer" at the opposite end. Points given for precision and style, and the beer must be rapidly consumed. Prizes from Proof Eyewear for first-, second- and third-place winners, as well as the best dressed team (super hero sparkle theme). Ticket includes beer, mug and awesomeness.

Price: $10, $40 team
