Boise Parks and Recreation is doing its part to keep your rugrats out of the house and out of trouble during summer's long and boring days. Playcamps for kids ages 6 to 12 are offered at five of Boise's neighborhood parks, including Cassia, Demeyer, Elm Grove, Ivywild and Winstead parks. Week-long playcamps start June 12 and continue throughout the summer until August 25, with weekly themes such as bugs, magic, patriotism, African safari, weird science and more. All-day playcamps from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ($56 per week, per child) and extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ($67 per week, per child) are available. Activities include art projects, crafts, swimming, field trips and more. Scholarships are available.
