Ontario: No Guns Necessary

A furniture store just over the Idaho border was held up last Tuesday by a regular customer wielding an irregular weapon. According to a story in the Argus Observer, a man in a matching blue shirt-and-shorts ensemble robbed Home Furnishing Liquidators on Second Street just before 6 p.m., when no other customers were in the store. The suspect, who one clerk described as a "regular customer," held a 3-inch saw blade to the throat of a male employee who had approached with the idea of selling him some furniture. The two men reportedly engaged in a lengthy struggle before the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee did not sustain any injuries requiring hospitalization.
