There's nothing like a photo essay in the feature spot to take a little stress off our writers for the week. Words? Pshaw. How about pictures instead? (Hmm, that's an idea: Maybe next year we go photo loco and do the whole issue in B&W photo essays.) Joking aside, the annual Black and White contest is one of the best features we do all year. In fact, I'd say it makes a strong bid for second against Fiction 101, another issue when we open our pages to the creative genius of our reading public.
Firmly entrenched in the top spot as our best issue of the year is, of course, Best of Boise. We're busy readying ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually to commence the voting process, which starts in a matter of weeks. For the second year in a row, the polls are online only with write-in fields in each category. Voting goes live Wednesday, July 16, so now is the time to start your campaigning if you want to be in the running to be the best at whatever it is you do.
