Note December 3, 2008

As the holiday shopping season gets underway in the world beyond the confines of Boise Weekly's offices, we hunker down and really get to work. The thing about putting out a paper every week is that it has to come out every week. That means rain or shine, sick snow on the mountain or great surf in Hawaii (you know, because we regularly trip out to the Aloha State on the spur of the moment for good surf), the BW show must go on. Even over the holidays.

But we think we've figured out a way to outsmart the system. Every year we close up shop for an entire week; this year that means Dec. 25-Jan. 5. In order to have that luxury, we "send it and forget it." And that requires mucho early planning, amigos. So here's why you should care: If you regularly submit events and music information to BW, the deadline for issues Dec. 24, Dec. 31 and Jan. 7 is Friday, Dec. 12. Start planning.
