OK, so you need some new Nordic gear now that winter is quickly approaching, your funds are limited and you still want to support the community. The three situations are not mutually exclusive, at least not when you’re alright with new-to-you gear.
The seventh annual Idaho Nordic Gear Sale will give those in need of equipment the chance to pick up some choice used gear, those in need of cash the opportunity to sell some of the stuff they no longer need, and all skiers the chance to support junior Nordic skiing programs.
The sale will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 1407 W. State St. (former home of Schuck’s and future home of World Cycle and XC Ski).
The sale will feature only Nordic and telemark gear (Alpine skiers and snowboarders, keep your stuff at home, thank you) and 20 percent of sales will go back to local Nordic skiing programs.
Those who want to sell gear can check in from 10-11:30 a.m., while the actual wheeling and dealing begins at 11 a.m. All unsold gear must be picked up from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
