Q's is a black hole. Literally, it's a cavernous warehouse-esque space with dark walls, dark carpets, black tables and chairs. Only the lights from the dart boards and the chrome on the thousands of pool tables stand out as a light source in my memory. Of course, I could be wrong because it's also a bit of a black hole in my memory. A 60-hour work week, two sleepless nights, no food and a few pitchers of beers split amongst friends, a vodka gimlet or two, Yukon, Beam ... admittedly, last call is a bit of a blur.
A destination bar (it's not one you stumble on en route to another bar, it's one you make the drive down Fairview specifically for), Q's is proof that one part booze, two parts distraction and one part food is a money maker. With NTN, darts and the largest assembly of pool tables ever collected under one roof, Q's doesn't even need its infamous free pool nights to draw a crowd. Cheap drinks, cheap eats, deals on billiards and one of the few places in town with NTN (aka, crack trivia).
