Navigating the New Economy Fall Series

When: Second Tuesday of every month, 7 p.m. Continues through Dec. 8 2009

The library hosts a series of programs of helpful tips to assist adults in assimilating to the changing economy. The program on Sept. 8 is: The Benefits of Volunteering. Learn how volunteering can help advance your career, learn about current volunteering opportunities in Boise and become a part of the national volunteering initiative. On Oct. 13: Dress for Success. Discover how to dress for interviews in a fashionable and affordable way. Tips include dressing for your body type and proper accessorizing. On Nov. 10: DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Presents. Save money for the holidays by giving handmade presents that fit your budget and learn about resources the library has on DIY projects. On Dec. 8: Interview Skills Workshop. Find out how to successfully interview for today’s workforce. A professional interviewer will give advice on improving interviewing skills. All programs are free and open to the public, and no registration is required.
