Billy Bragg has officially put a scheduled four CD re-issue of his music on hold. Yep Roc records has this statement from Bragg on their Web site ( "'As the date of release has approached, I have become increasingly concerned about how I could give the re-releases my full attention. I would feel torn if I was not able to match the enthusiasm and commitment to this project which has been shown by the Yep Roc team. This postponement will make it possible for me to fully support these releases on both sides of the Atlantic. I am sorry to have caused everyone to have to change their plans, but I think it will work out better for all concerned. I am very much looking forward to doing some gigs to coincide with these re-releases.' Cheers, Billy Bragg, July 2005." It's sad that the re-releases have been postponed, but thrilling that this project was in the works at all. ETA is early 2006.

Locals Switch Hitter had a CD preview party at the Bouquet last Wednesday. They invited friends, family and fans to give the CD a listen, rate the songs from one to five (five being the best) and give them any and all feedback before they go back to the studio for final remastering. I don't want to give too much away, but it's good. Check back here for official release date.
