Multiple Performers and Locations

by

On any given day in the City of Trees, you can find local musicians strumming, spinning playing or singing their hearts out. It's the time of year when we're supposed to give thanks, so let's be thankful that no matter where we go for a bite or a drink, local musicians offer up their craft on a regular basis for our entertainment.

To list a few, you can find Kevin Kirk (maybe best known for his association with Onomatopoeia) sending out jazzy joints both solo and with friends at Chandler's every Wednesday through Saturday. He is often the earlier performer, followed up by the likes of Cherie Buckner, Steve Eaton, Phil Garonzik, Jon Hyneman and Sally Tibbs. If fine dining with tunes is up your alley, you can usually find live music at The MilkyWay by Jonah Shue and Chuck Smith on Mondays and the Frim Fram Fellas on Tuesdays.

The Jeremiah James Gang makes a regular stompin' good time of Wednesday nights at Pengilly's, and on Thursdays, the Frim Fram 4 croon classics in the comfy little pub.

Rock your socks off with The Rocci Johnson Band Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights at Hannah's, and get to steppin' with Pinto Bennett on Fridays at Shorty's.

If something a bit less planned is more your style, check out open mic night at Pengilly's with Rebecca Scott and Dan Costello. You can either sit on your haunches in a corner booth, or try your hand at wowing the crowd. Lucy's Coffee also offers open mic nights on Wednesdays; the Real Deal Blues Jam takes off on Tuesdays at Ha'Penny; and Opa offers an open mic on Tuesdays.
