A north-central Idaho man has been sentenced to 16 months in federal prison for making threats on Facebook.
According to U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson, Paul Jens Suggs, 20, of Moscow, admitted to writing several Facebook posts threatening to shoot a man in Moscow, with additional threats to shoot law enforcement officers in Moscow and Pullman, Wash., in September 2015. Additionally, prosecutors said Suggs posted that he was going to kill family members of law enforcement officers.
Suggs was taken into custody, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of communicating interstate threats and, on July 19, was sentenced to the 16-month prison term to be followed by three years of supervised release.
The case had been investigated by the FBI in addition to Moscow and Pullman police departments.
