Bear cubs rarely survive without their parents. Find out about efforts to raise and release orphaned bear cubs back into the wild. John Beechum, a retired Idaho Department of Fish and Game biologist, will present the results of research involving the release of 550 orphaned bear cubs. The work involved 12 scientists and three species of bears. The MK Nature Center Evening Lecture Series occurs on the second Monday of each month and features adult-oriented lectures on a variety of nature topics.
