I am a plus-sized person and I see all of these diets that seem to make great differences for people. It seems like every other person I see on social media is on the keto diet. For every one of those people there is someone making fun of it or any number of other diets. I'm stressed out and need to make a change but I don't know what to believe. Help!

Social media can be great for many things, but because of the very nature of how information is shared, it's hard to separate fact from fiction. Social media is also a judgmental place where people often try to play expert. Diets come and go, and what is successful for one person isn't necessarily successful for another. I would ignore what you see online about diets. It is your body! Don't engage casually with others online about it. Work with your doctor to determine the best approach for what you'd like to achieve for your body and your circumstances. Health isn't usually discernible by the naked eye alone. By getting a health care professional involved, you can explore your own dietary needs without people chiming in with criticism or suggestions.
