Idaho Magistrate Judge Lynnette McHenry has denied Timmy Kinner Jr.'s request to change his name to "Eternal Love." Kinner is accused of killing a 3-year-old girl and seriously injuring eight others in a June 2018 stabbing attack at a Boise apartment complex. Kinner has been found unfit to stand trial on first degree murder and is currently being held at a secure mental health facility at the Idaho Department of Correction prison complex. The parents of the 3-year-old girl killed in the attack objected to the name change. They've also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the owners and managers of the apartment complex, alleging that the property managers "knew or should have known" that Kinner was a risk to the community.

The National Weather Service office in Boise says the nice weather should stick around until the weekend, when a chance of showers returns to the forecast.

Twelve tons of clay, silt and sand mixtures were shipped to Japan to make the batter's box, pitcher's mound, base pits and bullpens feel like home.

  • McDonald's is trying something new: a full-on vegan menu. Among the items being tested are the soy-based McVegan burger, the McFalafel vegan Happy Meal and vegan McNuggets, made from mashed potatoes. But don't look for them just yet at a McDonald's near you. They're being tested in Scandinavian countries.
