Times-News: Three Years After Complaint, Idaho Sex Ed Teacher 'Cautious'

It has been three years since a Magic Valley teacher Tim McDaniel was investigated after a group of parents filed an ethic complaint against him for teaching sex education. A state ethics commission dismissed the complaint against the Dietrich High School science teacher.

According to a report in this morning's Twin Falls Times-News, however, McDaniel's life was for forever changed by the accusation. He says he stopped attending school basketball games and church, saying he's "uncomfortable around other people, something that was never a problem before."  More importantly, McDaniel said, he's "cautious about what he chooses to teach and wonders whether he'll get in trouble."

By the way, the reason for the original complaint was because McDaniel used the word "vagina" in a 10th grade classroom and taught students about birth control.
