Photographer Patrick Stoll of Boise is a winner in the 2005 Banff Mountain Photography Competition. Stoll's photo, entitled "The Red Queen's Forest," won for Best Photo--Mountain Environment.
The BMPC is an international competition that sees thousands of photos entered from dozens of countries each year.
Stoll, who has been working as a freelance photographer since 1992, specializes in both fine-art and commercial landscape photography. His work has appeared in many national publications, including National Geographic Traveler, Outside, Travel and Leisure, Men's Journal and Conde Nast Traveler.
