The Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association presents a talk by Linda DeEulis titled Life on a Fire Lookout: A Vanishing Lifestyle. The first talk at 5 p.m. is at the Stanley Museum and the second at 8:30 p.m. is at the Redfish Lake Lodge amphitheater. DeEulis, an environmental interpreter and executive director of Snowden Wildlife Sanctuary, presents the history of fire lookouts in Central Idaho, including her personal story through excerpts from her journal, the lifestyle, the types of people who chose this work and Idaho’s unique place in forest fire history.
