On Aug. 11, the talk is Voyage of Discovery: Discovering York with Betti Vanepps-Taylor as she shares her knowledge of York’s contribution to the success of the Lewis and Clark expedition within the larger context of the time and culture in which he lived. On Aug. 18, University of Montana Professors Sheila Roberts and Robert Thomas share geological insights, maps and rocks samples from their research in a talk titled Geology of the Lewis and Clark Trail through Idaho and Montana. Meet in the Meditation Garden for the event. The lecture fee is included with garden admission.
