Koi offers Happy Hour
Though we tend not to report specials in this here column, occasionally something unique surfaces that is worthy of a word or two. And in the City of Trees, at least, a sushi happy hour that happens five days a week is decidedly newsworthy. Monday through Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., happy hour hoppers can add Koi to the list of stops for drinks and cheap eats. For $7.95, deal seekers get a domestic draft or a hot sake, and choose one roll from a list of five. Or pick two rolls (choose from a list of 9) and a domestic draft beer or hot sake for $10.95.
Koi, 800 W. Idaho St., #112 (in The Mode Building, entrance on 8th St.), 343-FISH.

More on the Foodbank
Did you know Idaho is the eighth hungriest state in the nation? Shame on you, Idaho. Get your full bellies out there to do something about it--volunteer. The Idaho Foodbank collected more than 210,000 pounds of food in its recent National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive, but all that food needs to be sorted before it is distributed. Go alone or get 25 or your students, coworkers or closest friends together. Sorting times available through July include weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.
